Hak Humanitarian Relief Association Started Aid Activities in Libya
Following the flood disaster in the city of Derna in Libya, the Hak Humanitarian Relief Association took swift action and launched emergency aid efforts in the region.
The flood disaster caused a lot of destruction in the city of Derna and its surroundings. As the number of deaths and casualties increases every hour, the people of the region are in dire need of help. According to the government's request for international aid in Libya, HAK Humanitarian Aid Association continues its work to save human lives and minimize damage by extending a helping hand to the victims of the disaster.
After learning about the flood disaster, the teams loading the water and food which are of immediate and basic needs on the ship of the Republic of Turkey. They are also preparing their equipment to carry out search and rescue activities in the flood-ravaged country.
Afterwards, the teams reached the region with the aid ship coordinated by AFAD, departing from Izmir Port, and began working to rescue the dead and injured while participating in search and rescue operations.
Hak Humanitarian Relief Association officials, who do not only participate in search and rescue operations, but also focus on humanitarian aid activities. They do their best to meet the urgent needs of disaster victims, heal their wounds and support them.
